Reader's Design Team Christmas Card for Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine using Free Papers

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a card I made as part of the Reader's Design Team for Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine using the Free Papers. Check out their Facebook Page for more inspiration!

For this card I used a Lawn Fawn wavy stitched border die to create the background. I then cut some of the red paper into a banner and added the pretty sentiment over top. To finish I added a twine bow and a die cut poinsettia with a Card Candi dot to the opposite corner.

Little Claire Design Team Stopwatch, Cogs and Numerals Card

Happy Sunday!

Today I am sharing my Distress Oxide Dinkie Stopwatch and Cogs and Numerals Design Team Card using stamps from Little Claire Designs! Here I am sharing one of my favourite stamp sets from the collection

I made an inky background using the Distress Oxides and water. I stamped the cogs along the top and bottom and across the centre where I used a watercolour brush to colour in. I heat embossed the sentiment and stopwatch and fussy cut this out. Top finish I used the Oxide ink on Card Candi dots and added some bronze metal dots across the card.

For the Love of Stamps Design Team Galaxy Background Card using Starry Skies and Out of the World Stamps

Good Evening Everyone!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Starry Skies stamps and mask from the October launch by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory. I also used the stamp set Out of this World for added space fun!

Products Used:
Starry Skies Stamps and Mask, Out of this World Stamps
6” x 6” Card blank
Watercolour Card
Distress Oxides; Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Black Soot, Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Faded Jeans
Versafine: Onyx Black, Versamark; Clear
Embossing Powder: Seafoam White
Folded Paper Strips to make Spring
Tape and Foam Pads

I began by heat embossing the mask edges using versamark clear ink and seafoam white embossing powder. I then created the galaxy background using Distress Oxides for a less intense but pretty background. I then stamped the Starry Skies stampes across the background and heat embossed in white again. To finish I stamped the rocket and space girl from the Out of this World set and fussy cut these out. I made my own springs by folding two thin strips of paper back and forth like I did as a kid. This gives the look of the girl and rocket floating in space :) To finish I added a banner sentiment.

Imagine Design Create Guest Design Team Stamped Retro Gamer Card – Game Over

Hi Everyone

Today I am sharing a card I made with fun stamp set Retro Gamer. This set is so different and perfect for male gamer themed cards! I googled the colours and shapes for the classic Tetris game to try and create a sense of realism (as some gamers I know are very serious about details!)
Check out the original Blog post here!

I have also used:

White Cardstock: 300 gsm

Distress Oxides: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Wilted Violet

VersafineBlack onyx, ruler, Black Fine Liner Pen, Black Cardstock and an acrylic block

To start I used the ruler to draw a line along the bottom of the card (wide enough to stamp a 4 square block. I put a dot in the centre of this line and decided my game would be 5 blocks either side of the line.

I then tested my blocks on scraps so I knew which shapes would be which colour and just played with the blocks building up the scene as I went along to just over halfway.

I then put a border all around the edges, filled these in with 4 square blocks and stamped the blank ink in to create a pattern. I added the Game Over sentiment and finally added a line of blue blocks – as I recall the game goes fast at the end and the blocks stack up quick resulting in Game Over! To finish I matted onto black card and attached to a card blank.

I enjoyed just playing with these stamps and hope this has inspired you to do the same!
